Martha Ann Livingston Collyer, 78 of Saluda, died Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Elizabeth House.

A native of Reddick, FL, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Livingston and Elizabeth Smith Livingston. She is also preceded in death by a son, Kyle Moreland. Martha has lived in in Polk County for the past 44 years, and was employed for several years with the Saluda School system. She was of the Baptist faith.

Martha is survived by her loving husband, William Collyer; four children, Donna Jones and her husband Jeff, Richard Moreland, Billy Collyer and his wife Krystal, and Hope Hall and her husband Jason; Nine grandchildren, Kimberly Fullerton, Krystal Dobbs, Eric Moreland, Kyla Moreland, Kourtney Moreland, Andy Collyer, Erica Collyer, Nickie Cameron, and Caleb Cameron; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, and two brothers; and several nieces & nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Rev. Tony Halford will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Four Seasons Compassion-for-Life, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

We have shared her love of the wildlife up here on the mountain over the past 15 years. And I hope she knows we will look after all the critters and especially Bambi and all her offspring for as long as we can live up here.
