Matthew Lee Hyder, 46, went to meet his Savior on Friday, December 5, 2014.
A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a graduate of East Henderson High School. Matthew currently worked for Highland Tool & Dye; and formally operated Matthew Hyder Gravel Delivery. He was a member of Upward Christian Fellowship; and enjoyed restoring cars in his spare time.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Glenn & Susan Hyder; a brother, Jeff Hyder all of Hendersonville; three aunts, Joan Cartier and her husband Norman, Mary Sue Hyder, and Betty Jean; and numerous cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Upward Christian Fellowship with Rev. Anthony Craver and Rev. Harry Widner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Matthew. It has been many years since our paths crossed… Faith Christian School. But I have fond thoughts of those days. May God’s grace be surprising and amazing. Prayers sent.

We are terribly sorry for your loss. I worked with Matthew and enjoyed our lunches together. He was a good man with a great heart and a love for God. He will be greatly missed…..
