Matthew Todd Edney, born November 14, 1981, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2022.
He leaves behind his mother, Karen Pace Edney; his father, Bob Edney, his brother, Kyle Edney; his grandmother, Jean Capps Pace; and other extended family members.
Todd grew up in Saluda, NC and attended Saluda School, East Henderson High School, and Blue Ridge Community College. He was a special person and a joy to know.
Todd enjoyed a successful 20-year career in hospitality, working in both the restaurant and hotel industry. He was a sports fan, a huge outdoor music festival fan, and loved being involved backstage at the venues. He loved his animals, his friends, and mostly his family. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and his ability to make everyone feel at ease. He truly did have a servant’s heart and was always willing to help others.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
I met Todd on September 9th, 2019… Since that first day, I knew he was special and he motivated me to accomplish things that I thought would be impossible…
Todd was the dearest, one of the closest and sweetest people who I had the privilege of being in his life and I dearly loved him as that special friend that you can tell everything to and he never judged me….
Only motivatede to believe in myself and I owe him my life back and I owe him the ability to love ❤️
I can’t wait to see you again my hunny 💓
Please don’t forget about me 😢💜✝️
