Maudine Orr Allison, 79 of Etowah, died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Spring Arbor.
A lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late James & Elizabeth Orr. Maudine is also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Orr; two sisters, Carolyn Hollingsworth & Maxine Gossett; and a niece, Teresa Laughter.
She retired from Ecusta after 43 years of service, and was a member of Etowah Baptist Church.
Maudine is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Connie Ray Allison; a son, Barron Ray Allison and his wife DeAnn Gragg Allison; two grandsons, Brandon Allison and his fiancÈ Britany Hall & Darren Allison; a sister, Lucille Laughter all of Etowah; four nephews; and three nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Etowah Baptist Church, 6508 Brevard Road, Etowah, NC 28729.
She was a super lady.

Maudine was a special part of our family, and I will miss her smile and friendliness greatly. My prayers are with each of you. May God strengthen you during the coming days with His peace, love and provision.
