Maxine Horne

Maxine Horne, 75, of Hendersonville passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Elizabeth House. A lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late M.H. Moore and Ila Summers Moore. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Moore, and a sister, Lucille Quinn. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-four years, J.B. Horne; two sons, Alan Horne and his wife Marilyn, Marty Horne and his wife Sandy, all of Hendersonville; four sisters, Christine Williams and her husband Earl, Allene Brown, Betty Hammond and her husband John, all of Hendersonville, Frances Owens and her husband Garrett of Port Charlotte, FL; five grandchildren, Gary Horne and his wife Amy, Daryl Horne, Tracy Horne, Holly Fortune and her husband Brent, Aaron Horne, all of Hendersonville; a great grandson, Wesley Horne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, March 7, 2009, in the chapel of Forest Lawn Mortuary. Dr. Michael Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel, and at other times will be at the home of Marty Horne.
