Minnie Nunziato, 87, of Hendersonville, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009, at her home. A native of Matawan, NJ, she lived in Henderson County since 1993. She was the wife of the late Anthony Nunziato who died in 2006. she was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. An avid gardener, she also liked various arts and crafts.

Survivors include her son, James Nunziato and his wife Janet of Fletcher; a sister, Angela Waits of San Antonio, TX; a granddaughter, Tracy R. Nunziato, serving in the U.S. Navy; and a number of nieces and nephews in New Jersey, Florida, Texas and Wisconsin.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, in the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Father John Salvas will be the celebrant.

Minnie will be greatly missed. I have known her for years. Tony and Minnie was regular customers at Hardees’ were I met them. They were so sweet holding hands as they came into the restaurant. I will miss her. They both were special people. World was better because they were in it.
