Norma Jean Corn, known as Normie to those closest to her, was welcomed into Heaven on Monday, April 17, 2023.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Calloway and Edith Ward Calloway, brothers Albert Jr (known as Junior), Robert, Freddy, Jerry, and Jimmy Calloway and sister Shirley Pruitt, as well as son-in-law Lee Praytor who went to be with his Savior in 2020. She leaves behind her husband Bill Corn, step-daughter Natalie Praytor, step-sons Steven and Doug Corn, grandsons Allen Case and Nathan Case, and sister Betty Lois Blythe as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was retired from Diamond Brand in Fletcher and attended Mt. View Baptist Church. Norma Jean was loved by her family, friends and the community of Green River where she lived her whole life. She was a beloved wife, nana, sister, and aunt; and while she had no biological children of her own she loved all the children that were
ever a part of her life and had a real passion for kids. Known for her sassy personality and sense of humor, laughter was often present when Norma Jean was near. Her laughter will live on in our memories.
A memorial service officiated by Josh Boyd and Sam Beddingfield to celebrate her life will be held at Mt. View Baptist Church of Zirconia on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at 4 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Park of Hendersonville, NC.
Flowers may be sent to Mtn. View Baptist Church or memorials in Norma Jean’s honor can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or charity of choice.

Brother Bill my heart hurts for you and prayers lifted for your comfort
I’ve always appreciated that Norma Jean loved my nephews and always showed up for our entire family. She was always making jokes and laughing and spoiled those boys to no end. I know she will be missed terribly.
