Norma Jean Vakoc, 81, of Hendersonville, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Pardee Hospital. She was born in Gaffney, SC, to the late Edwin and Nannie Jolly. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Heatherly. She lived in Henderson County most of her life and worked at Day International for 30 years.
Norma is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ron Vakoc; sons, Fred Vakoc (Vicki), Rod Vakoc (Tammy), and Brad Vakoc; daughter, Lorie Vakoc; grandchildren, Tonya Reeves (Seth), Holly Tramil (Chris), Rodney Vakoc, Jennifer Ward (Jeff), Andrea Vakoc, Bradley Vakoc (Rayna), Christopher Vakoc (Lacie), and Victoria Vakoc; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Ayle (Pat), and Shirley Eckenrode (Randall); brother, Edwin Jolly (Janet); and several nieces and nephews.
A family visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Monday, October 31, 2022, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
So sorry for the loss of Norma. I worked with her at Day International and enjoyed talking to her. I also enjoyed working with Chris. May God bless and comfort you as only he can do during this difficult time.
