Paul Hillard King, 91, of Hendersonville, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Four Seasonís Compassion-for-Life Elizabeth House following a lengthy illness.

A native of Henderson County, he was the son of the late David & Nellie King. He is also preceded in death by two sons, Roger and David King. Paul served in the US Army and was of the Baptist faith. He worked as a carpenter and landscaper most of his life. Paul enjoyed television, fishing, listening to country music, and going shopping for groceries.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Billie Jones King; two daughters, Geraldine Hamilton King and Linda L. Owensby both of Hendersonville; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lila Mae Ballard of Hendersonville.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Matt King, Patrick Ballard, and Rev. Bill Brackett officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military rites. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times they will be at the home of his daughter Geraldine King, at 57 Baby Jane Lane, Hendersonville, NC.

Im so sorry for your families lose Mr. King will be missed he was always good to me when I came around. He has gone to a better place with a endless supply of Fish which Im sure he will enjoy trying to catch !! Keep em hopping Mr. King
