Ralph Vernon Webb, 86, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.  He was born in Buncombe County to the late Clarence Webb and Carolyn King Webb.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Max and Jack; son Randy; great-grandchildren, Harley, Amelia, and Angela; and his favorite dog, Boost.

Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1983 and worked with the United States Post Office from 1983 to 1996.

Dad loved his family and was willing to help his friends and family in any way he could.  If in need, he was there to lend a hand.  His favorite hobby was carpentry.  We would always find him tuned in to wrestling, Westerns, or Jimmy Swaggert.  On nice days, he loved sitting outside listening to country music, working on word finds, or playing handheld games.  Most of all, he loved scratching lottery tickets.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Sarah Webb; sons, Brian and his wife Cathy, Jason and his wife Heather; daughter Joann and her husband Ray Ray; sisters, Ann Freeman and Jane Brackett; grandchildren, Zachary, Christopher, Jordan, David, Taylor, and Ava; great-grandchildren, Liam, Michael, Maverick, Memphis, Franklin, and Addie.

A funeral service will be held at one o’clock p.m. on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Abraham LaVoi and Chaplain Tim Gore officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service.  A graveside service, with military honors, will follow the funeral at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
