Raymond A. Parr, Jr., 82, of Fletcher passed away peacefully in his sleep at home after a period of declining health. A native of Detroit, MI, he lived in Washington state and California before moving to Henderson County four years ago. He was the son of the late Raymond A. and Nan Bald Parr, and was also preceded in death by his sister, Chris Munson. He was a sales representative in the food and medical packaging industry. He was a Naval Officer during the Korean War. In his younger years, he was active with De Molay. He was a season ticket holder and avid Forty-Niners fan for over twenty-five years.
Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-three years, June Parr; a son, Steven Parr of Mt. Vernon, WA; three step-daughters, Pam, Evie, and Steffi; a step great-granddaughter, Erin; and three nephews, Brad, Scott, and Cris.
A memorial service is planned for a later date in California.
