Richard “Ricky” C. Lowery

Richard “Ricky” C. Lowery, 66, of Hendersonville passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. He was born in Henderson County on August 18, 1956 to the late Alvin and Dorothy Moore Lowery.

Ricky was a graduate of Hendersonville High School class of 1974 and Blue Ridge Community College. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and high power rifle competitor. He loved camping with his family and riding his grandson on the lawn mower. He will be deeply missed by many.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his nephew, Douglas Lowery.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Nina Osteen Lowery; daughter, Kasey Lowery (Alex Brooks); grandson, Jaxson Brooks; brothers, David Lowery and (Patti) of Fletcher; aunt, Marie Chesnee; nieces, Beth Lowery, Allison Lowery, Brandy “Pooh Bear” Tatterson (Mike),  and Brittany “Bit Bit” Trexler (Cole); nephews, Chris “Homer” Osteen (Esther), Neal ” Neal the Pill” Osteen (Priscilla), Adam “Bud” Trexler and Jonathan Lowery (Bree); great nieces, Kendall Osteen, Olivia Pralinsky and Taylin Tatterson along with his great nephews, Tray and Will Pralinsky and Brandley and Connor Tatterson.

A funeral service will be held at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at one o’clock in the afternoon and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
