Robert ìBobî Davis died Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at his home in the loving arms of his wife Sandy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lucy Matilda Davis; his sister Myra; and his sons, Michael-Paul and David.
He served his country in the US Army and worked for the Hendersonville City Fire Department as Fire Captain for 35 years. He will be remembered for his quick sense of humor and his honesty.
He is survived by his wife Sandy Gillespie Davis; his daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Craig ìBusterî Hensley; one granddaughter, Reagan Faith Hensley; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Lois Davis; one sister, Melinda Davis; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy Gillespie, Kenny and Benny Gillespie of Kansas City, KS, Mimi Gillespie of Boston, MA, Johnny Gillespie of Brevard, Cindy and Greg Sentelle of Hendersonville, and Ray Beck.
A memorial service will be at 2:00pm Sunday, August 5, 2012, in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Hendersonville City Firemen will be Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, his request was that donations be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

The time I helped take care of David I could alway’s count on Bob to help. What a personality.Alway’s had a joke. My thought are with you both.
