Robert Gregory Garber, known affectionately as “Bobby,” passed away on March 27, 2024, at Carolinas Medical Center Mecklenburg. He was born on August 5, 1967, in Henderson County, NC.

Throughout his life, Bobby found joy in various activities such as raising cattle, fishing, gardening, canning, and cooking. He cherished his time spent with family, especially his grandchildren, and his passion for doing things outside.  Bobby’s warm presence, sense of humor and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bobby was a dedicated employee at Cason Builders Supply, where he showcased his skills and work ethic.

Bobby never met a stranger and would always make you laugh with his witty sense of humor. He loved to keep life simple, and it was important for him to teach that to his family. He was an honest man who stood firm in his morals.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Robert Garber, and his grandparents. He is survived by his daughters, Jessika (Mikey) Robinson of Hendersonville and Lauren (Tyler) Garber of Zirconia, his mother Jo Capps, his beloved grandchildren Hailey Griffith, Colt Griffith, Kole Robinson, and a granddaughter due soon. He is also survived by his sister Cindy (Jimmy) Rogers of Hendersonville, NC, his niece Courtney (Josh) Anderson, several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers whom he held dear.

Funeral services to honor Bobby’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Ebenezer Baptist Church, with Pastor Steven Blanton and Reverend Steve Ellis officiating. A visitation will take place at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Monday, April 1, from 6:00 -8:00 pm, providing an opportunity for family and friends to pay their respects and offer support during this difficult time.

May Bobby’s memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
