Robert Lee Haynes “Bob”, age 90, entered his Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.  He was blessed to have been born to Arizona and Arthur Haynes.  He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, two sisters, along with an infant granddaughter, Kelly.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 69 years, Delores “Dee” Hancock Haynes.  Together they have four daughters and four son-in-laws that he considered sons, Beverly Parris (David), Debbie Fournier (Neil), Becky Shipman (Bill), and Carol Cole (Josh).  Bob was Pawpaw to twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Bob was born on a farm in Asheville, NC in 1932 and grew up on a farm in Rutherford County.  He served his Country honorably in the US Navy.  Bob moved to Hendersonville to raise his four girls in 1959 and retired from Cranston Print Works where he worked for 35 years.

He loved the outdoors and grew the most magnificent gardens of food and flowers! He was a member of Fletcher First Baptist Church.  Above all else he cherished his faith and his family and left an amazing example for us all.

We will celebrate his blessed life at Fletcher First Baptist Church at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 8, 2023.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
