Roland Epperson, 72, of Hendersonville, passed away Saturday, December 6, at Mission Campus in Asheville due to a sudden illness. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Clarence and Ruby Hill Epperson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Epperson. He retired from Kimberly-Clark after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in his garden. Mr. Epperson is survived by his wife of 49 years, Emma Brock Epperson; 3 daughters, Rene Epperson, Connie Clark and Doris Pressley; a brother, Dean Epperson, 5 grandchildren, Tamara Hall, Carley, Meagan, Hunter and Linsey Clark; a great-grandson, Lucius Day and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held 2:00 pm Monday, December 8, in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Pastor Jerry Warren will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the home.
Had lost touch with you all in recent years and just came across Roland’s death. So sorry to hear that. Knew him well when growing up.
