Sharon Hand, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed from this world to another destination, which our Christian religion teaches is a place of eternal bliss, on Monday, October 16, 2023, at the age of 87. Born and raised in the State of Georgia, Sharon’s journey was filled with love, grace, and an unwavering kindness that touched the hearts of all who knew her. A resident of Riverwind Subdivision in Etowah, North Carolina, Sharon moved to the area in 2012.
Sharon’s gentle spirit and loving nature were evident to anyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel at ease, offering words of encouragement and support when they needed it most. Her presence exuded a sense of grace and dignity, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched.
Sharon’s greatest achievement was undoubtedly the love and care she gave to her family. She stood as a pillar of strength for her husband, Donald L. Hand, and together they built a lifetime of cherished memories. Sharon was a devoted mother to her children, Karen Elaine Bennett, Donald “Don” L. Hand, Jr., Jenny Lynn Santana, and Robert “Rob” E. Hand, instilling in them the values of kindness and empathy that defined her character.
A celebration of Sharon’s remarkable life will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Hendersonville. Reverend Michael R. Bennett will officiate the service, honoring Sharon’s memory with love and respect. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
Sharon Hand leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Though our hearts mourn her loss, we find solace in the beautiful memories she created and the lives she touched. May her spirit forever guide us as we carry her light within us.
