Steven L. Glover, age 67, of Hendersonville, NC, entered heaven on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2022, after battling brain cancer for two years.
Steve was born January 29, 1955, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late I.L. and Helen Glover. Left to cherish Steve’s life are his wife of 47 years Kathy Glover, son Matthew Glover, daughter Elissa Glover Noel (Adam), grandchildren August, Isaiah, and Olivia Noel, sister Iris Bentley (William), brothers Rick Glover (Carla), and Greg Glover, sister-in-law Libby Borman, nephews Jason Bates, Brandon Glover (Blair) and Brent Glover (Courtney) along with eight great nephews/nieces.
Steve retired in December 2019 from Eaton Corporation, formerly Westinghouse, after 35 years. The last seven years he worked as a Technical Applications Engineer developing proposals for large electrical construction projects. He enjoyed being with his family, woodworking, traveling, hiking, and boating. He was a member of Biltmore Church, where over the years, he served in many different capacities. Most recently, he volunteered with the church mission team. He also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity.
Steve loved his family, church, and friends. But most of all, and most importantly, he loved Jesus Christ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who lived a life of goodness, laughter, and kindness.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 29, 2023, at 3:00 pm on Steve’s birthday at Biltmore Church’s Arden Campus. Following the service, we will honor him with a birthday party.
