When we were growing up, Verlin and Roy were the family historians. They had the camera & video recorder. Verlin always had more pictures of every one in the family than anyone else. We connected on that level. I love family pictures too. Verlin & Roy took us to Ghost Town the first time, then to Myrtle Beach the first time…… We were always at home at their house. Very few people have the capacity to love and help others like Verlin did. She helped take care of so many people in our family. She was there the night daddy died. She stood by us in good times and bad times. Those things are not forgotten. She has gone through so much in her life, and she was definitely a strong woman. I will love you always, Verlin. My heart remembers all the good times, your smile, your laugh, your love, & your cooking! I’m glad you are resting at home in heaven with Roy, your grandbabies, your brothers, and your Mom & Dad. We will miss you, but we will see you again soon.
