Vivienne Lock Jordahl, 78, of Hendersonville, NC and formerly of Vienna, VA, died on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, in Tory’s Home, East Flat Rock. Born in Leicester, England, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Eileen Lock.
Vivienne, a Special Education Teacher, met Bernhard Jordahl in Washington, DC and they were married in Fairfax, VA in 1968. Vivienne lived in Hendersonville for 25 years and was preceded in death by Bernhard in 2009. Vivienne will be missed by seven nieces and nephews residing in Portugal, England, California, Iowa, Virginia, and Arizona.
Vivienne was a member of the Women’s Garden Club of Hendersonville as well as the Trans Atlantic Brides and Parents (TBTA) Association. Vivienne attended the Washington National Cathedral for 35 years and enjoyed walks and drives in nature. Vivienne loved all animals and had a particular affinity for birds, volunteering with a range of nature organizations.
Internment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Land Conservancy of Hendersonville.
We had been close friends for several years and had gone on a trip to Ireland together, it was wonderful. I miss you so much Vivi.
