William F. Bulow, 91, of Hendersonville, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Elizabeth House following a period of declining health. A native of Chicago. IL, he lived in Henderson County since 2001. He was the son of the late William Frederick and Hazel Anderson Bulow, and the husband of the late Virginia Schramm Bulow who died in 2009. He was a commercial artist in advertising working for Sears and Montgomery Ward. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Nativity, and the American Legion. He was the former president of St. Stephens Lutheran Church Council in Carpentersville, IL. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII.
Survivors include two sons, William Bulow of Hendersonville, Richard Bulow and his wife Nancy of Mills River; three daughters, Denise Rohlfs of Centerport, NY, Nancie Morgan of Kingston, IL, Barbara Ovesen of Downers Grove, IL; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
A memorial service will be at 12:30 pm Sunday in the Lutheran Church of the Nativity. Pastor Mark Fitzsimmons will officiate.
